Stirling Players Youth (SPY) offers young people in and around the City of Stirling a creative opportunity to learn about the different aspects of performance and production. SPY has been a part of Stirling Players Inc for the past 10 years, and we are based at the Stirling Theatre in Innaloo.

We manage a range of annual events and special projects which are programmed and run by our members, and are open to all young people interested in theatre and the performing arts.

This is not simply an opportunity for our young members to be involved in the theatre, but to actually create and manage their own work. It's also a fantastic way to build theatre skills and gain viable experience in the arts.

Production information is distributed closer to each season, so make sure you're kept in the loop by registering your details on our emailing list.

December
Tony Nicholls' pantomime Cinderella

It is the eve of Prince Charming’s 21st birthday and, according to his father’s will, if he is not married or betrothed when that day rolls around, the entire kingdom of Cornucopia will fall into the hands of Charming’s not-so-friendly cousin, Dandini. The Prince vows he would rather marry anyone than see his beloved kingdom ruled by Dandini. Enter Lady Halfcock, who is convinced her loud and obnoxious daughters Swot and Hetty will catch the Prince’s eye and win his heart. Little does she know, her own step-daughter, Cinderella, has already accomplished such a feat and with the help of a somewhat unlikely fairy godmother, she makes her way to the Grand Ball to claim her Prince.
Will Cinderella make it to Prince Charming in time? Will Swot and Hetty steal his heart before she arrives? Will Dandini take control of the kingdom after all?

Tony Nicholls has been writing pantomimes for over 20 years and this script is laden with double-entendres, puns and - in the case of Lady Halfcock - brilliant malapropisms. Like all good pantos it is aimed at the kids, with a further level for the adults.
